Graduation Ceremony

What story do you want to tell?

Everyone loves a good story -- college admissions officers included. Your college application should vividly illustrate who you are: your achievements, your interests, your personality, and your goals. I look forward to helping you craft your story, whether that's planning it all out or reviewing what you've already accomplished, and tailoring it to each school on your list.

What to do, when to do it,
and how to do it well

College List Strategy

Not every college list is balanced. It's important to have a strategic mix of Reach, Target, and Likely schools. It's equally important to know the implications of Early Decision, Early Action, and Regular Decision.

Application: Start to Finish

There are a surprising amount of components to an application. I'll walk you through every section, including requesting recommendations and how best to structure the activities list.

Standardized Test Advising

Test-flexible, test-optional; SAT vs. ACT; AP vs. IB. As universities change their approach to this each year, it's important to be know which test(s) best suit you -- if at all.

Essay Planning and Writing

The personal statement essay and subsequent school supplements often sneak up on students. As a former college newspaper editor, I love helping students identify their topics and find their voice.

Building a Resume

I want students to commit to activities they're interested in. This can be achieved in conjunction with strategic resume building, including maximizing summer & leadership opportunities.

Selecting the right courses

Particularly for 9th and 10th grade students, mapping out a course selection process congruent with your goals is paramount.
